WSWA's Privacy Policy

Updated September 21, 2021

Wine & Spirits Wholesalers of America, Inc. (WSWA) is the national trade association representing the wholesale tier of the wine and spirits industry. Founded in 1943, WSWA represents hundreds of companies—large and small—in all 50 states and the District of Columbia that hold federal permits and state licenses to act as wine and/or spirits distributors and/or brokers. WSWA members represent a part of the thousands of wholesalers operating in the U.S. today.

WSWA is committed to protecting your privacy and to give you a secure online experience. This privacy statement explains WSWA’s data collection and use practices (“Privacy Policy”). By accessing this site or providing us with your information, you agree to the terms of this Privacy Policy. This policy does not override any terms directly established between you and WSWA.

We collect personally identifiable information, such as first and last names, postal addresses, email addresses, and phone numbers, when voluntarily submitted by our visitors or those who sign up for WSWA-hosted events or WSWA products and services. If you sign up for event, product, or services, we may also collect a credit card number, which is never retained.

When you submit personal information to WSWA through this site or by signing up for an event (e.g., webinars), you understand and agree that the collection, transferring, storage, and processing of your information may be undertaken by trusted vendors and partners of WSWA. Such vendors and partners are bound by contract not to use your personal information for their own purposes or provide it to any third parties.

Use of Personal Information

We may use information we collect about you to fulfill your specific request (e.g., sign you for a particular webinar), provide you access to particular products or services, respond to your questions or comments, create and maintain user accounts, send you (personalized) emails that market other offerings, or share with sponsors for a particular event your contact information if you signed up for that specific event.

If we believe the release of information about you is necessary to respond to legal process, to investigate or remedy potential violations of our policies, or to protect the rights, property, and safety of others, we may share your information as permitted or required by any applicable law, rule, or regulation. This includes exchanging information with other entities for fraud protection.
