WSWA Educational Foundation is the charitable arm of WSWA. The Foundation focuses on two principal program areas: Helping to support the college careers of our member firm employee' children through the scholarship program, and supporting research and studies that further industry knowledge.

WSWA Educational Foundation is offering 50 two-year scholarships, each totaling $4,000 ($2,000 per year), to college-bound dependents of full-time employees at Wine & Spirits Wholesalers of America (WSWA) wholesaler member companies.

Application Details

  • Applications for the 2025-2026 academic year are now open!
  • Winners will be announced in September 2025. All applicants will be notified via email.
  • Renewal Requirement: The second year of funding is contingent on maintaining a minimum 3.0 GPA and meeting standard eligibility criteria.

 

Who’s Eligible?

  • Dependent children of full-time employees at a WSWA wholesaler member company.
  • Enrolled in one of the following programs for 2025-2026:
    • Undergraduate degree program
    • Associate’s degree program
    • Trade school program

Robert Qualls Scholarship Fund

The Robert Qualls Scholarship Fund—established by Tito’s Handmade Vodka, Southern Glazer’s Wine & Spirits and WSWA Educational Foundation—honors the legacy of Robert Qualls, a respected hospitality and spirits industry veteran. Each year, the fund awards four $5,000 scholarships to students pursuing studies in hospitality.

Who’s Eligible?

Applicants must be pursuing a certificate or degree in hospitality and meet one of the following criteria:

  • Be a child of a parent working for an alcohol producer, wholesaler, or retailer (on- or off-premise) or
  • Be a current or former employee of an alcohol producer, wholesaler, or retailer (on- or off-premise).

 

Students pursuing studies in hospitality may be enrolled full-time or part-time in:

  • A year-long, full-time hospitality certificate program;
  • An associate’s degree;
  • An undergraduate degree or
  • A graduate degree.
