WASHINGTON, D.C., 01/18/2024 – Wine & Spirit Wholesalers of America (WSWA) issued the below statement on the dissolution of Drizly by Uber:

"Drizly was an innovator of compliant, local licensed alcohol delivery and proved that consumer convenience can exist within the three-tier system. We applaud the innovative founders and developers, and retailers for establishing a modern and responsible approach to online sales and service. WSWA continues to believe in locally licensed delivery services, and the ability for each state to decide what’s best for them, and most importantly, maintain the ability to regulate the marketplace in a way that puts public health and safety at the forefront."
