WSWA Educational Foundation Announces 40 College Scholarship Winners

The WSWA Educational Foundation today announced it has awarded 40 scholarships to college-going dependents of member wholesalers for the 2015-2016 school year.

Awards Presented to Children of Wholesaler Employees

(WASHINGTON, D.C.)—The WSWA Educational Foundation today announced it has awarded 40 scholarships to college-going dependents of member wholesalers for the 2015-2016 school year.

The WSWA Educational Foundation is the charitable arm of the Wine & Spirits Wholesalers of America (WSWA). The foundation helps support the college careers of children of the WSWA member firm employees.

“The WSWA Educational Foundation is thrilled to provide $80,000 in scholarships this year,” said WSWA President and CEO Craig Wolf. “We’re happy to report that this is a 78 percent increase from last year. The foundation’s college scholarship program is one of many ways the association and its members unite and give back to the industry and their employee families.”

Scholarship Program Background

All applicants must be a dependent of a full-time employee working for a WSWA wholesaler member company. Applicants must be attending a four-year accredited college or university, or an accredited community college or junior college full time during the 2015-2016 academic year, pursuing an undergraduate or associate degree.

Now in its sixth year, the WSWA Educational Foundation has provided $230,000 in scholarships to 118 students since its inception.
