Christy Moran
Christy Moran is the Senior Vice President of Communications and Marketing for the Wine & Spirits Wholesalers of America (WSWA). She leads efforts to amplify the voice of wine and spirits wholesalers, developing communications strategies that advance WSWA’s policy agenda and elevate the industry’s reputation nationwide.
With more than 20 years of experience in strategic communications, public affairs, and coalition management, Christy has led integrated campaigns across retail, telecom, technology, healthcare, energy, and hospitality—advancing policy priorities, shaping public narratives, and strengthening organizational reputation.
Before joining WSWA, Christy was a Partner at Raynor Ave. Public Affairs, advising clients on reputation strategy, thought leadership, and issue advocacy. She previously served on AT&T’s corporate communications team in Washington, leading enterprise-wide communications on federal broadband deployment programs, network modernization, and digital equity initiatives. Christy has also held senior leadership roles at communications advisory firms Forbes Tate Partners, Weber Merritt, Qorvis Communications and Weber Shandwick, and served as head of communications for the NFL Players Association/Players Inc.
She began her career working on political campaigns and on Capitol Hill, grounding her approach in both strategic insight and a hands-on work ethic—delivering disciplined messaging, credible advocacy, and high-impact communications.
Christy holds a Bachelor of Science in Political Science from the University of Colorado at Boulder with a concentration in International Affairs. She is a member of Women in Communications, PRSA and the National Women’s Collaborative, and sits on the board of the CU Boulder Alumni Chapter of DC. She lives in Arlington, VA, with her family.
