(WASHINGTON, D.C.) Wine & Spirits Wholesalers of America President and CEO Craig Wolf today announced the promotion of four association employees and the addition of one new team member.
Kari Langerman was promoted to Senior Director, Meetings and Conventions. She joined WSWA in 2005 and has been promoted on two prior occasions over her decade of service. Kari’s responsibilities include planning and executing small and medium-sized association meetings and events in addition to handling sales of exhibit halls, hospitality suites, Taste of the Industry tables and managing over 300 suppliers at the WSWA Annual Convention & Exposition.
Prior to joining WSWA, Kari was Meetings Coordinator for the American Resort Development Association. She earned a Master of Tourism Administration (MTA) degree from George Washington University in 2012, where she earlier earned her undergraduate degree in Marketing in 2003.
Reid Teschner was promoted to Manager, State and Regulatory Affairs. He originally joined the association in December 2015 after spending five years working on issue advocacy and political campaigns in Northern Virginia including work on the staff of former Rep. Frank Wolf (R-VA) and Rep. Rob Wittman (R-VA). He graduated in 2010 from the University of Tennessee with a degree in Political Science.
Michael Steiner was promoted to Coordinator, Finance and Administration. He joined the association in August 2015 after working for Gauthier Vineyards in Barhamsville, VA, and in the Office of Community Engagement at the College of William and Mary, his alma mater, where he earned a degree in business in May of that year.
Meg Taylor was promoted to Senior Manager, Communications and Membership. Prior to joining WSWA in August 2015, she worked on the Strategic Marketing Services team at Hanley Wood, LLC, a real estate media firm focused on commercial and residential construction, where she ran client marketing and digital communications projects.
Before working at Hanley Wood, Meg spent three years on Capitol Hill working for two elected officials as a digital media professional: Rep. Tom Price, then Chairman of the House Republican Policy Committee, and in the press office of Rep. Scott Rigell (R-VA). She earned a Master of Professional Studies in Public Relations & Corporate Communications from Georgetown University in 2016 and her undergraduate degree from James Madison University in 2010.
Emily Magram joined the WSWA staff in January as Coordinator, Communications and Membership. Previously, she worked as an Advertising and Privacy Paralegal for Kelley Drye & Warren in its Washington, D.C. office where she served in positions of increasing responsibility since June 2014. She graduated from Syracuse University in 2014 with a degree in Political Science.
