21st Amendment Ratified, Prohibition Ended

 

December 5, 2017 marks 84 years since the United States ratified the 21st Amendment to the U.S. Constitution and paved the way for the modern three-tier beverage alcohol system.

WSWA Women's Leadership Council (WLC)

Mission:

The WSWA Women’s Leadership Council (WLC) is comprised of leaders in the wholesale tier of the U.S. beverage alcohol industry. Its primary mission is to help foster relationships between members, as well as industry leaders within the three-tier system, and to provide a platform for the exchange of ideas and knowledge with peers.

WLC Officers:

  • Dina Opici, Opici Family Distributing, will serve as the first Chair of the WLC. 
  • Philana Bouvier, Young’s Market Company, will serve as Vice-Chair. 

Founding WLC Council members include: Dina and Philana, along with Heather Alper, Southern Glazer’s Wine and Spirits; Kari Carlos, National Distributing Company; Monica Chaplin, Southern Glazer’s Wine and Spirits; Jessica Cyr, Martignetti Companies; Megan Ross Iaccino, Great Lakes Wine & Spirits; Lacey Sadoff, Badger Liquor Company; Hillary Wirtz, Breakthru Beverage; and Jenn Zenker, Breakthru Beverage.  

2017 Conference: The inaugural Women's Leadership Council (WLC) Conference will take place September 14-15 in Washington, D.C.
